Student Membership


INAFSM encourages students who are pursuing careers in floodplain and stormwater management or related fields to get involved in INAFSM. We offer a student membership rate of $20.

  • Access to members only portal which has contact information for all INAFSM members
  • Opportunity to get involved with committee projects (white papers, guidance documents, annual conference workshop planning, etc.)
  • Discounts on annual conference registration, and even higher discounts if you help work the conference

Student Membership Criteria

Both of the following documents are required for student membership rate:

  1. Class schedule from current semester (must include school name or logo on schedule as well as the student's name and dates to indicate current semester)
  2. Proof of tuition payment for current semester

Please also provide your anticipated graduation date.

How to Join

Email Karen Avery at [email protected] with your intent to join as  a student and email your anticipated graduation date along with the required documentation. Be sure to include your phone number and address for your profile. Once approved the student will receive a call to complete the transaction over the phone by credit card.
