Abstracts

We are now accepting abstracts for our 2026 event. Submissions are being accepted through May 29

Schedule

The complete schedule will be posted in late July. INAFSM is currently accepting abstract submissions (deadline is May 29).

For ECI Certified Professionals: INAFSM conference sessions approved by Envirocert for professional development hours (PDHs) include basic and advanced sessions focusing on the physical and natural sciences, as well as hydrology, engineering and other specialty areas. We will not know which 2026 sessions are pre-approved until after the complete schedule is submitted by Envirocert. Here is a list of all 2025 INAFSM Annual Conference sessions that have been approved by Envirocert.

Tracking PDHs

For those who need to track professional development hours, we'll post a PDF Tracker you can download for your records to self-check the sessions you attend. The tracker will be posted here after the schedule is completed. Looking for your hours from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025? You can access your history and print out a certificate by clicking on the "My CEUs" link (at top of this page).

Scholarships

Two scholarships will be awarded, one for someone working in floodplain management and one for someone working in stormwater management. In addition to the registration fee, this scholarship includes most meals at the conference. Hotel registration, travel expenses, and any other conference related expenses or incidentals are the sole responsibility of the scholarship winner. Winners will be expected to volunteer as needed during conference. If an individual has already registered for the conference, we will refund the registration fee if he/she is selected as a scholarship recipient. Application deadline is June 13 (application form coming soon)

Awards

Each year at the Annual Conference, INAFSM recognizes those individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to the fields of stormwater and/or floodplain management. Nominations for each award are offered in the summer before the Conference.  Learn more about our award categories.

18th Annual Golf Outing

Our 18th annual INAFSM golf scramble will be held at Crestview Golf Club in Muncie (3325 South Walnut Street) on Tuesday, September 15th, with the first group teeing off at 12:00 pm. We only have 8 foursomes reserved so please get your reservation in early. The course extends through 6,198 yards of beautiful green, the longest tees for par of 71. With a course rating of 69.5 and a slope rating of 120, our course offers a challenging yet pleasant experience. For new golfers or those short on time, we also offer a 9-hole executive course. Whether you are an experienced golfer or a newcomer, Crestview offers professional service and a family-friendly atmosphere at an affordable rate. Also available is a precision target range allows you to practice iron accuracy, hitting to or around targets of various sizes within 200 yards. Crestview also provides a putting green and a chipping green to help you practice your short game.

Greens fees with cart are $34 per golfer paid directly to the course upon your arrival. Show up early to relax and enjoy lunch at the course. Mulligan’s Bar and Grill is located on site, and they offer a wide variety of items. Lunch is on your own dime. Please contact Matt Rummel ASAP to enter yourself or reserve a foursome of your own.

Silent Auction

Once again we'll be hosting a silent auction to support our Greg Main and Toni Cecil Memorial Scholarship funds! Would your business donate an item? Or you personally? Perhaps you and co-workers can put together a basket of items from your part of the state? Wondering what would make a good item? Just think about items on which you might like to bid; if the item or collection of items is interesting to you, then there's a good chance that others will be interested, too. Please contact Suzie Delay or call (317) 234-1063) to make a donation or request more information.

Logo Merchandise

Through out the year, Colored Threads takes orders for embroidered apparel featuring the INAFSM logo. For those who order before August 28 you can save on shipping and we'll bring your purchase to the conference for you.
