This position exists within the Office of Water Quality and will be stationed in the Indianapolis Office of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. However, based on the candidate selected alternate locations may be considered. The position is responsible for administering stormwater regulations in an efficient and consistent manner. The primary function of this position is to administer the stormwater program, which includes a multidisciplinary approach to stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and pollution prevention. Responsibilities include permitting industrial and construction sites and contributing to program development. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to reviewing stormwater pollution prevention plans and conducting regulatory inspections for construction sites and industrial facilities and audits of local Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s).

Stormwater Foreman - Town of McCordsville

The Stormwater Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of stormwater maintenance and construction activities within the municipality. This includes managing stormwater infrastructure, and working to prevent erosion, flooding and water quality issues. The Foreman will also manage and ensure compliance with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Notices of Construction Stormwater General Permit (CSGP) and related stormwater permits, as well as ensure all stormwater systems are maintained according to town standards.

Incumbent serves as Survey/Drainage Coordinator for the Tippecanoe County Surveyor, responsible for various surveying, engineering and construction related duties.
- Drafts plan and profile construction plans for County Regional Drains using computer aided drafting software.
- Reads and interprets construction drawings and specifications and identifies discrepancies or conflicts within documents. Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, engineers and contractors.
- Prepares or reviews plans and contracts and negotiates revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with engineers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Inspector - City of Greenwood

Hydraulic Engineer - IDNR

Incumbent functions as a senior Hydraulic Engineer in the technical section of Engineering Services Center in the Division of Water, Department of Natural Resources. The incumbent provides technical expertise on functions with the National Flood Insurance Program, the floodplain mapping Cooperating Technical Partner program, the Indiana Floodplain Information Portal. In this position, you will manage and direct technical employees working in major regulatory, environmental, and safety programs, such as floodway regulation, waterway computer modeling, river restoration, application review for new or improvements to existing dams and levees, or similar established programs.
