Floodplain Environmental Manager - IDNR

This position will be in the Technical Services Section of the DNR Division of Water.  This section oversees several water-related statutes including the Flood Control Act (IC 14-28-1) and the Lake Preservation Act (IC 14-26-2).  The main responsibilities for this role include communicating floodplain information including mapping, risk, and regulations; communicating lake and other regulations; serving as the point of contact for various permit application and other files that come through the section; and reviewing permit applications for conformance with the statutes and rules including calculating impact to flood elevations and administrative requirements. Some field work is required, primarily for inspection of permit applications along Indiana's public freshwater lakes.

Program Director, Floodplain Management - IDNR

This position is a member of the Floodplain Management Section and is responsible for outreach and education efforts in regard to floodplain management, the National Flood Insurance Program (44 CFR 59-80) and Indiana statutes and rules for floodplain management (IC 14-28-1; IC 14-28-3; IC 14-26-2; and 312 IAC 10). This position is responsible for providing approved state training (including learning checks) for local floodplain administrators to track compliance with IC 14-28-3-7.2 in addition to providing training on floodplain management topics for other local officials and professionals such as engineers, surveyors, and builders impacted by floodplain issues. The position also creates education and outreach materials in a variety of formats (presentations, publications, letters and web pages). Additionally, this professional performs advanced technical work in regard to interpretation and illustration of federal and state requirements for floodplain management (riverine, lacustrine, and coastal) for a wide range of development, flood insurance, elevation certificates, and building requirements.

Stormwater Quality Manager - Resolution Group

  • Lead stormwater quality management and compliance efforts across projects
  • Prepare Erosion Control Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Stormwater Quality Control Plans (SWQCPs), and Construction Stormwater General Permits (CSGPs)
  • Coordinate stormwater quality documentation and regulatory requirements
  • Support project teams with stormwater compliance during design and construction phases
  • Participate in stormwater inspections as needed
