A Floodplain Administrator is responsible for implementing the community's local floodplain ordinance and ensuring that the community is complying with minimum National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and State standards and enforcing any locally imposed higher standards. Are you a Floodplain Administrator in Indiana and have questions, or would like to know how your peers manage and implement?
INAFSM has created a new Floodplain Administrator Mentoring Program to connect experienced floodplain administrators with those new to the role or wanting to learn how to handle a specific situation. Our mentors have very likely been in your situation and are available to provide insight on day-to-day responsibilities, share their experiences and provide guidance on how to move forward. This program is available to INAFSM members only. If not already a member, please consider joining INAFSM to take advantage of this and other membership opportunities. |
