DNR DoW Workshop: Part III

The DNR Division of Water is inviting you to attend an upcoming workshop. The workshop will focus on a community’s responsibilities under the National Flood Insurance Program. The topics for each session are listed below with the registration link for each part. Community officials (i.e., floodplain administrators, zoning administrators, surveyors, planners, building officials, commissioners, council members, or mayors) who are new, or just want a refresher, are encouraged to attend.

In the past this workshop has been delivered as an all-day event at the State Government Center. With current social distancing requirements and other restrictions, we are offering this year’s workshop as a three-part series of two-hour Teams meetings. There are no fees for these workshops, but you must register for them to receive the meeting link and other materials. The workshops are eligible for Continuing Education Credits for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs).

  • Part I (was held Feb 23-25)
  • Part II (was held March 2-4)
  • Part III will be held on March 9 from 2-4 p.m. ET and March 10 & 11 from 9-11 a.m. ET. Part III will cover the Indiana Floodplain Information Portal (INFIP), Division of Water’s Online Research Center (DoWORC), mapping examples, permitting examples, and additional resources for local officials.
