Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit the INAFSM 2007 Conference Site. We are still in the initial planning stages of the Conference, and more informations will be posted on this site as it becomes available. What we do know is that the Conference will take place September 12-14 at Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana. The luxurious Potawatomi Inn will be providing the Conference Space, and lodging will also be made available.

Potawatomi Inn is Filling up Fast!

As of August 20, the Reservations Desk at the Potawatomi Inn has informed INAFSM that there are only a few rooms left for reservations over the course of the 2007 Conference. There are NO rooms left for the evening of Wednesday, September 12. The Ramada Inn, which is just minutes away from the park, still has rooms available. Please call the Ramada Inn at 260-665-9471 to make your reservations!!!

CRS Specialist Available to Meet with Communities

While you are at the 2007 INAFSM Conference, discover how your community can join FEMA’s Community Rating System (CRS) and save your residents money. If you are already in the CRS, discover how to improve your class and save your residents even more money. The CRS is part of the NFIP and recognizes community floodplain management activities that go above and beyond NFIP standards. Residents in your community can save up to 45% on their flood insurance premiums as a result of your efforts.

In order to optimize this opportunity, please schedule an appointment ahead of time with Scott Cofoid, Insurance Services Office (ISO), so he can prepare community-specific information for you. Walk-ins are always welcome, but time may be limited. Please contact Mr. Cofoid at 815-220-1002 or scofoid@iso.com before the conference to make your appointment.
