2007 CONFERENCE - Call for Abstracts
You are invited to submit your paper abstracts to the 11th Annual Conference of the Indiana Association for Floodplain and Stormwater Management, Inc. (INAFSM). This year’s conference will be held at the Potawatomi Inn and Conference Center, Angola, Indiana. The agenda will be developed around 3 areas of interest:
- The Basics on floodplains, construction in a floodway, insurance and the NFIP, LOMA/LOMR, elevation certificates, floodproofing, etc.
- Projects illustrating best management practices, technical/design innovations, mitigation, flood disaster response, Phase II implementation,MS4.
- Resources and Regulations from IDNR, IDEM, SEMA, FEMA, EPA, Army Corps, GIS, GPS, etc
- Stormwater Quality and Quantity Issues.
Topics of interest for this year’s conference include:
- Floodplain/Drainage Management Policies
- Construction & Design Techniques
- Flood Insurance, CRS, CAV’s
- Bank Stabilization and Erosion Control
- Stormwater Quality and Quantity Issues
- Low Impact Development
- Hazus

Abstract Format
Abstracts should be submitted in copy-ready format with the following information:
- Title of Presentation, author(s)/presenter(s) and affiliation(s)
- Address, Telephone, FAX, e-mail
- Description of Project/Topic - length should not exceed 500 words
